"The best love stories don't always begin when we're young. Sometimes they begin when we finally know who we are."

The Perspective Behind TrueLuvTake2

TrueLuvTake2 was created by Monique Aleman, whose personal and professional life has been shaped by a deep curiosity about human connection, discernment, and the evolving nature of relationships. After decades of leadership experience working closely with people, teams, and complex decision-making environments, Monique began to notice something striking.

The processes we use to evaluate meaningful partnerships in our professional lives are often far more thoughtful than the tools available for forming relationships in our personal lives. This realization sparked a simple but powerful question: why should finding love later in life rely on systems built for speed and algorithms rather than wisdom and lived experience?

TrueLuvTake2 was born from the belief that relationships later in life deserve a more intentional approach — one grounded in self-awareness, discernment, and the richness of real life.

Who She Really Is

My understanding of love did not begin with dating apps or modern relationship advice. It began in my childhood home, watching my parents move through life together with the quiet dignity of a king and queen. My father was the first sacred masculine presence in my life, and the love between my parents set a powerful imprint for what partnership could look like.

"The love between my parents set a powerful imprint for what partnership could look like."

Over the course of my life, different relationships have shaped my understanding of love in profound ways. Some brought joy and family, some brought lessons that challenged me to grow, and others revealed new dimensions of intimacy, friendship, and connection. Each of these experiences deepened my respect for the complexity of relationships and the courage it takes to remain open-hearted.

Greatest Teachers

The men who shaped everything

I have been fortunate to know men of generosity, intelligence, humor, and kindness — men who helped shape the way I understand partnership.

But the greatest teachers of all have been my two sons. They have shown me what it means to love without condition, to give without keeping score, and to be fully, joyfully present in someone's life.

These experiences did not make me an expert on love. But they did make me a lifelong student of it.

"They have shown me what it means to love without condition — and to be fully, joyfully present in someone's life."

Where the Foundation Was Laid

The model of love I carry began long before my own relationships took shape. It was built in the quiet rhythms of a family home — in the way my parents spoke to each other, supported each other, and showed up for each other through decades of real life.

My mother has been one of the steadiest presences in my life — a model of grace, resilience, and love that doesn't ask for permission. The relationship she shared with my father showed me that partnership is not a performance. It is a practice.

"Partnership is not a performance. It is a practice."

That foundational understanding — that love is built slowly, honestly, and with real presence — is woven into everything TrueLuvTake2 stands for.

Her Roots

The first model of love & grace

My mother has been one of the steadiest presences in my life. Her grace under pressure, her dedication to faith and family, and her quiet confidence in who she is — these are not things I read about. They are things I witnessed up close, over a lifetime.

She showed me that love, at its truest, is not dramatic. It is consistent. It is present. It shows up on ordinary days, not just the extraordinary ones.

A Personal Turning Point

In recent years, my search for deeper understanding led me on journeys that changed the way I see life and relationships. I spent time in Egypt and Peru, participating in sacred site visits, ceremonies, and spiritual practices that invited a deeper level of reflection and presence.

Seeking stillness, finding clarity

There are moments in life that don't teach you anything new — they simply reveal what you already knew but hadn't yet trusted. Travel has been that for me.

Standing amid the ancient world, I was reminded that wisdom is not something we acquire. It is something we uncover — slowly, through presence, humility, and the willingness to listen.

"Those experiences were not about seeking answers as much as learning to trust intuition, stillness, and the quiet wisdom that emerges when we slow down enough to listen."

What TrueLuvTake2 Stands For

By the time many of us reach our fifties and beyond, we carry a lifetime of experiences — careers built, families raised, heartbreak endured, wisdom gained, and hopefully a little humor about it all.

Yet the modern dating landscape often treats relationships as if none of that history matters.

TrueLuvTake2 was created to honor the richness of this stage of life. It begins not with swiping, but with attunement — a chance to reflect on who we are, what we've learned, and what we truly seek.

"Love later in life should not feel like starting over. It should feel like beginning again with clearer eyes, open hearts, and a little more laughter along the way."

That sense of wonder and openness — earned through lived experience, not borrowed from youth — continues to inform how I approach both life and the vision behind TrueLuvTake2.

If this resonates,
you're welcome here.

TrueLuvTake2 is for those who know themselves, value connection, and feel ready to explore what comes next — with openness, discernment, and care.
